A collision involving a motorbike and a car in Battersea Park Road caused traffic chaos during the morning rush hour.

The A3205 was blocked at Abercrombie Street and traffic had to be redirected, just before 8.30am.

A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.17am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike.

“We sent a single responder in a car and ambulance crew to the scene. Our medics treated a man reported to be in his 30s for back and leg injuries.

“He was collared and boarded at the scene and given pain relief. He was taken to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as a priority.”

The road is now clear and the carriageway is understood to be fully open.
