The family of a father who plunged to his death are encouraging people to come forward with information.
Steven Harris fell from the 10th floor balcony of a block flats on July 18 1997.
The father-of-one, who left behind a three-year-old daughter, was visiting his girlfriend at the time.
On the night he died Mr Harris phoned his mum’s house and spoke to his brother, telling him he would be popping round soon.
Shortly after he was found in a heap on the ground outside Crondall House in Roehampton.
The fall happened at roughly 11pm, and 17 years later his family are still in the dark as to how it happened.
Mr Harris’ family have always insisted the 21-year-old had no reason to commit suicide.
An inquest at Westminster Coroner’s Court in August 1997 ended with an open verdict, meaning the circumstances of the death were unclear.
Mr Harris’ cousin Emma Crump, and his aunt Jill Pearce have launched a campaign appealing for fresh information.
The mother and daughter on Mr Harris’ mum’s side, set up a ‘Justice for Steve’ Facebook page on Monday.
They have also created a YouTube video in his memory.
Ms Crump, 26, said: "He had no reason to commit suicide and had a three-year-old daughter.
"He was always happy and outgoing, and on the day he died he had been in contact with his family.
"We still don’t know what happened all these years later, so we just want some closure.
"We believe there are people out there who know, and we are desperate for them to come forward."
Ms Pearce has submitted complaints to Wandsworth Police in the past, raising concerns about their handling of the case.
She said: "I think they could have done more to find out what happened. I am considering making further complaints in future."
Mr Harris was nicknamed ‘bomber’ and grew up on the Lennox Estate in Putney.
