A man locked out of his flat had to be rescued by the London Fire Brigade after he climbed onto the roof and got scared.

The London Fire Brigade, the police and the London Ambulance Service were all called out at about 2am to Earlsfield Road on Sunday morning.

It is understood the young man, thought to be in his late teens, popped out of his flat to put his girlfriend in a cab when the front door slammed behind him.

He decided to climb up the wall and onto the roof, to get through an open window, but he got scared and waited for the London Fire Brigade to help him down.
