The 160th BNY Mellon Boat Race will set off from Putney this weekend.
The annual contest will see the classic rivalry between Oxford and Cambridge universities renewed.
Thousands will line up across the Thames from Putney to Mortlake, to watch the two teams slog it out for first place.
The 4 mile race, which first took place in 1829, starts at 5.55pm on Sunday April 6.
Throughout the day Putney punters can soak up the atmosphere, with a host of oar-some entertainment on offer.
From 2pm The Boathouse on Brewhouse Lane will have bands playing, with two TV’s and a projector broadcasting the race.
The Dukes Head on 8 Lower Richmond Road will have six screens, four BBQs, and five bars open.
The pub also has a packed line-up of bands and DJ’s through the afternoon into the night.
Putney Pantry at the St Mary’s Church forecourt will have a food tent, with outdoor seating and live music.
The hustle and bustle of the World Street Village Market is also on offer at Church Square.
The boat race is now a national tradition, with Oxford having won it 77 times to Cambridge's 81.
The race tends to last around 17 minutes, and Cambridge will be striving to regain the title after Oxford's victory last year.
