A 17-year-old moped rider was taken to hospital yesterday after a collision with a car.
The police were called at about 11.10am to Fishponds Road, following reports of a crash involving a moped and a car.
The 17-year-old was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
The London Ambulance Service attended and roads were temporarily closed.
Serious concerns have been raised about the heavy amount of traffic using Fishponds Road and the community is polarised over what should be done about people rat-running to avoid more congested roads.
Recently a consultation was held over piloting a £100,000 six-month scheme which featured partial road closures around Fishponds Road to stop drivers from rat-running.
