Huntingfield Road Roehampton murder police arrest boy, 15
Murder detectives have arrested a 15-year-old boy after a man was found dead in Roehampton on Tuesday evening.
The boy was arrested last night (Thursday, April 24) and taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody.
It comes after a man in his late 30s was found with serious injuries in Huntingfield Road, Roehampton, at about 8.15pm on Tuesday, April 22.
London Air Ambulance attended the scene but the man, understood to live in the road, was dead on arrival.
He has not yet been formally identified and police last night said they are in the process of locating next of kin.
A post-mortem examination is set to take place today at St George's Hospital Mortuary. It has not yet been disclosed the nature of the man's injuries.
An incident room has opened at the Homicide and Major Crime Command under Detective Chief Inspector Charlie King.
Detectives want to speak to three young men seen ‘loitering’ in Roehampton just before the man was killed - but no description has been released by police.
Det Chief Insp King said: "At this early stage we are keeping an open mind about any possible motive.
"Members of the public have already provided us with accounts of three young men seen loitering in the area prior to the incident.
"I am directly appealing to these young men to come forward and speak us.
"I am also urging anyone who may have more information regarding this incident to contact us."
