An independent cafe is the cream of the capital’s coffee scene.
The Artisan in Putney scooped the gong for best cakes and bakes at the London Coffee Stop Awards.
They also came second place in the running for London’s Best Coffee Shop.
The owners of the cafe are full of beans after hearing the result, and are pleased their daily grind has finally paid off.
Artisan was set up by husband and wife Edwin and Magda Harrison in 2011.
Mrs Harrison, 29, said: "I think people have warmed to our cakes and bakes because they are so different.
"We sell chocolate and Guinness cakes, rose and pistachio, and cakes made with lemon, rosemary and olive oil.
"They are all unique and delicious, so people love them.
"We also put coffee at the heart of everything we do. We have a special machine we bought in from Florence, and all our baristas have at least 2 years training.
"Everything is perfect to ensure we make outstanding coffee."

The London Coffee Stop Awards saw 1,400 independent and branded cafes fight it out for spoils.
Categories included ‘Coolest barrista’, ‘Best new coffee shop’ and ‘Best coffee chain.’
The voting opened on March 19 and closed on April 2.
Awards were dished out on Wednesday April 23 at Ozone Coffee in Shoreditch, and were presented by ITV news anchor Alastair Stewart.
Just over 18,000 Londoners voted in the competition which was in its inaugural year.
Mrs Harrison used to work in HR for an engineering firm, and Mr Harrison 32, used to be a business development manager.
But the couple had a wake-up call after spending a year working in the coffee regions of Uganda’s Rwenzori Mountains.
They returned to the UK to find a rising number of trendy cafes opening up across London and decided to blend their work ethic and passion for coffee.
In January last year they opened a second store in Stamford Brook in West London.
The caffeine-loving couple plan to set up another coffee shop in future.
Artisan is on 203 Upper Richmond Road, Putney, SW15 6SG. 0208 617 3477
