Police investigating a man's death in Roehampton last month have arrested a 13-year-old boy on suspicion of murder.

He was arrested by Metropolitan Police detectives and was taken to a South London police station for questioning.

Martin Thomas, a 39-year-old car mechanic, died after being found with serious injuries in Huntingfield Road on Tuesday, April 22.

A 15-year-old boy from Putney, who can not be named for legal reasons, appeared at The Old Bailey on Tuesday accused of the murder of Mr Thomas.

Meanwhile a 16-year-old arrested on Monday has been bailed to mid-May, as has a 17-year-old arrested on Saturday, April 26, who will report to police in June.

Family from Jamaica and the United States have paid tribute to Mr Thomas, calling him humble and ambitious, while neighbours described him as kind and friendly

Police continue to appeal for information surrounding the murder in particularly information that would assist detectives in identifying three individuals seen in the area prior to the incident.
