The Brixton teenager was taken to hospital after being found collapsed outside Tilford House, in Holmewood, but was pronounced dead in hospital.

His headteacher Margaret Peacock said: "Alim was a bright young man with a promising future. He achieved excellent GCSE results at the end of Year 11, and was on track to achieve BTEC Level 3s in Media Communication and ICT.

"He was ambitious and very keen to build a successful life for himself. In school he was a popular, engaging student who went out of his way to help others and was a volunteer reader with younger students.

"The school has set up a Book of Condolence and is planning a memorial to celebrate the life of Alim. We will be offering counselling to those pupils who need support at this difficult time and we send our deepest condolences to Alim's family and friends."

A post-mortem examination, on Monday, May 5, at Greenwich mortuary gave the cause of death as multiple incised wounds.

On the day of Alim’s murder, police arrested a 16-year-old boy who was charged with murder on Tuesday, May 6.

The investigation into his death is being lead by detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command who continue to appeal for information concerning the murder.
