A Roehampton teenager has admitted sexually assaulting a woman on Wimbledon Common.
The 16-year-old, who was 15 at the time of the attack, admitted one count of touching a woman over 16 in a sexual manner without her consent at Wimbledon Magistrates on May 8.
The court heard he targeted the woman, who was on her own, forced her to the ground and removed clothing before a passer-by disturbed him in the act on October 28, last year.
The court ordered he be detained in a young offender institute for 18 months.
He is also required to register with his local police station for the next five years.
