It was all aboard the fundraising bus for walkers on a mission to raise awareness of a boy’s rare genetic condition and help find a cure.
Siobhan Kelly roped in 39 of her friends to walk from Clapham to the Rectory pub in Purley on Saturday while collecting for the charity A-T Society.
After getting a bus to the start, driven by Miss Kelly’s partner, Brian Sewell, they completed the nine mile trek in under four hours.
During the walk they handed out leaflets to people telling them about A-T, which causes increasingly severe disability and premature death.
Miss Kelly organised the event as her son Brae Sewell, five, has the genetic disorder ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T).
She said: “It went really well with everybody motivating everybody else and at the end they said they really enjoyed it and that it should be a yearly thing.”
