A man has been killed after his bicycle collided with a lorry during rush hour traffic.
Tafsir Butt, 52, from Battersea, was struck by the lorry while riding along Parry Street by New Covent Garden Market on Monday just before 7am.
The crash took place under the railway bridge not far from Vauxhall railway station.
Paramedics attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been informed.
A post mortem examination is due to take place at Greenwich Mortuary tomorrow.
The lorry stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made, but an investigation is underway.
