A south Asian restaurant has been nominated by Battersea MP Jane Ellison to take part in a competition organised by MPs.
Amirah's Kitchen, in Old York Road, has been nominated in the Parliament Tiffin Cup competition which looks for the best South Asian restaurant in the country.
The restaurant will be visited by a mystery diner before going through to the regional finals.
Ms Ellison said: "I am delighted that my nomination for Amirah's Kitchen has been accepted and that they will take part in this year's Tiffin Cup.
"I have visited the restaurant on many occasions and they truly deserve to take part in the competition. My congratulations to Arif and Shajeda Hussain who run the restaurant."
The Tiffin Cup competition is in its 9th year and celebrates South Asian food while raising money for charity.
Winners of regional finals will go to the national finals which will take place on Tuesday, July 8, in the House of Commons.
