Fire fighters had to draw up a ‘hazard zone’ around a blazing lorry full of potentially explosive cylinders.
The London Fire Brigade were called to the incident in Battersea Park Road, Battersea, on Friday, just after 5pm.
Part of the lorry was damaged and fire fighters set up a 25m cordon around it because they were concerned the cylinders might explode when exposed to the heat.
One cylinder was affected but was cooled by firefighters, at the scene, who managed to bring the fire under control by 6.10pm.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
