A lorry has been removed from under a railway bridge after becoming wedged.

The heavy goods vehicle became lodged under the railway bridge on Latchmere Road, Battersea, by the junction with Sheepcote Lane, at just before 11am this morning.

Police were called to the scene at 10.54am and were able to remove the vehicle by 11.07am.

The bridge has a 3.8m height restriction.

British Transport Police were alerted to the problem but have not reported any delays to rail services.
