The trial of a man accused of shooting a teenage boy in the back has collapsed after new evidence emerged.
Kyle McDonald, 19, from Fulham, was shot on Battersea’s Winstanley estate on the evening of September 18 last year.
Noor Omar, 23, of St John’s Hill, Battersea, was charged with his murder and his trial opened on Thursday, June 12, at the Old Bailey.
However, the jury was dismissed after new evidence emerged during the trial and the judge decided defence and prosecution should have more time to consider.
The trial will start again at the Old Bailey on Monday, August 4.
