A man in his 50s has been taken to hospital after a car and motorcycle crashed in Clapham South.

Nightingale Lane has been closed this morning following the collision, in Balham Hill, just before 9am.

A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at about 8.55am this morning to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motor cycle on Balham Hill.

“We sent a single responder by car, an ambulance crew and an advance paramedic to the scene.

“We treated a man reported to be in his fifties for an ankle injury. He was taken as a priority to St George’s Hospital in Tooting.”
