Lightning struck a house last night, setting its roof on fire.
Thirty firefighters battled flames for nearly four hours as they battled to save the home in Abbotswood Road, Streatham.
Wimbledon fire station was called at 2.20am and sent a fire engine aerial ladder, while Tooting fire station sent two fire engines.
No-one was injured in the blaze and firefighters managed to prevent the fire spreading to the rest of the house.
Firefighters left the scene, close to the junction with Hoadley Road, at about 6am.
