A 40-year-old man has been arrested after a woman was stabbed with broken bottle at a children’s barbecue in Clapham.

Wandsworth Guardian:

The woman is said to be in a serious but stable condition after she was repeatedly stabbed in a garden, in Allnutt Way, near Clapham Common, yesterday afternoon.

The incident took place in Allnutt Way, Clapham

Police found the woman, who is in her early 30s, with multiple stab wounds. She was taken by ambulance to a south London hospital.

A man was arrested today, on suspicion of actual bodily harm, after handing himself in to a south London police station.

Officers believe a man entered the address, attacked the woman and left in a silver Peugeot van.

It is believed the suspect and victim are known to each other.

Lambeth police are investigating. Enquiries continue.
