Drivers will experience delays this afternoon after a serious accident closed a main road in Battersea.
York Road is currently closed both ways between the junction with Falcon Road and Battersea High Street and Lombard Road after a collision involving a car and a motorcycle.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called at 11.34pm to reports of a road traffic collision on York Road.
"We sent an ambulance crew and an advances paramedic to the scence and treated on patient, a man reported to be in his 40s, for a serious leg injury.
"He was taken as a priority to St George's Hospital."
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said road closures were likely to remain in place for some time.
