New headteacher, Christian Kingsley, has taken over from Margaret Peacock who retired this summer.

He said: "Once again, staff and students have worked hard to produce some examination results which we can all be proud of.

"This year has been particularly challenging due to a wave of educational reforms which have been well documented in the media, including changes to examination entry rules, the removal of speaking and listening from the English exam and considerable changes to examination specifications across many subject areas.

"Our students have worked alongside the teaching staff to ensure that they are well placed to meet these challenges and this has been reflected in some very encouraging examination results."
