A 29-year-old Clapham man has appeared in court today charged with possessing guns and cocaine.

Jermayne Anderson, of Parkfield Road, appeared at Camberwell Magistrates’ Court, charged with three counts of possession of a firearm and one count of possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Inner London Crown Court on September 3, 2014.

A total of 155 people have been arrested for alleged offences including possession of firearms, drug possession and robbery, in an operation targeting activities which may impact on Notting Hill Carnival this weekend.

Cash amounting to approximately £93,000 was also seized in the wider raids.

A 19-year-old man, from Lambeth, was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply. He was bailed to return to a south London police station in late October.
