A prolific thief banned from the borough after receiving more than 50 convictions has been jailed today for breaching her anti-social behaviour order.
Exiled former Merton resident Victoria Bunton was caught by officers in Mitcham at about 4.40am on Wednesday, August 20.
The 27-year-old was jailed for two weeks after admitting breaching the ASBO which banned her from entering Merton.
Bunton was arrested by police in Gorringe Park Avenue, Mitcham.
She had been given a suspended prison sentence on August 14 at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court which was activated when she appeared again on Friday, August 29.
Bunton admitted the breach.
She was the first person in the country to be banned from entering an entire borough, after receiving a three-year ban on Monday, February 24.
The ASBO said she must live at an address in Southcroft Road, Tooting and could only enter Merton to attend appointments with lawyers.
