A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent after an alleged stabbing in Battersea.

Leon Sagoe, 42, of Hope Street, was charged on Saturday, September 13, after alleged incident shortly after noon on Friday, September 12.

Anthony Noonan was allegedly stabbed in the chest and back in Hope Street, near Holgate Avenue, and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The air ambulance was also called to the incident and landed in nearby York Gardens.

Mr Sagoe appeared in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court this morning, September 15, and was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on September 29.

He did not enter a plea.
