An autistic girl with severe learning difficulties and epilepsy can play in a new, safe garden created by a children’s charity.
Ten-year-old Saida Kulmia, from Earlsfield, received a garden transformation thanks to the charity WellChild and a team of local volunteers from Blackrock.
Saida cannot communicate through speech and does not understand how to keep herself safe, often eating things she finds on the floor.
Her new garden will allow her to spend time freely in her garden, playing in safety. The team installed large exterior mirrors and bright murals to make the space more stimulating.
The charity is always looking for volunteers to help projects. To help or for more information visit: wellchild.org.uk.
