Wandsworth health bosses are urging people to keep well this winter by getting a flu jab.

The council and Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group want anyone at risk to get a free flu jab from their GP or some local pharmacies.

If you are over 65, a carer, pregnant, have certain medical conditions or a weakened immunity, you can get a free flu jab. Children up to the age of four are also eligible for the free jab.

Wandsworth’s director of public health, Houda Al-Sharifi, said: "I want to encourage everyone who is eligible to make sure they get their free flu jab.

"It is easy to do as you can either visit your GP or some pharmacies. Many people may be putting themselves and their loved ones at risk by not getting vaccinated. Getting the flu vaccine is one of the best ways to stay well and healthy during the winter."
