A woman is fighting for her life following a hit-and-run in Clapham Common North Side.

The woman, in her 30s, is in hospital after suffering life-threatening head injuries in the collision on Friday, November 21.

Police are appealing for information to find the driver of a small white hatchback that failed to stop at the scene. The car is understood to have sustained damage to both its front end and windscreen.

The woman was hit at about 6.30pm at the junction with Battersea Rise. Police think the car continued towards Lavender Hill.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Service said: “Officers from the South West Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for anyone with any information about the car involved, its driver or the collision to contact them.

“Any witnesses to the collision, who haven’t already spoken to police, are also asked to contact them.”
