Town hall visitors were treated to men in leather trousers, sunglasses indoors and the mayor in his full robes on Wednesday.
You could be forgiven for thinking it was the council’s Christmas party but in fact it was a fashion event showcasing what the industry has to offer.
Approximately 250 youngsters got to meet professionals and take part in taster sessions as part of the ‘Big Fashion Conversation’ organised by the council.
The event was opened by the Mayor of Wandsworth, Councillor Stuart Thom, who said: “London is one of the world’s great fashion capitals and here in Wandsworth we want to help local people find out what the sector has to offer.”
