Ballerina Tamara Rojo spoke to pupils at the Laurels School in Clapham.

Wandsworth Times:

The lead principal and artistic director of the English National Ballet spoke about her career and what it takes to reach the top in the world of classical ballet.

Afterwards the girls served tea and cakes while Miss Rojo mingled with parents and staff on Thursday, November 27.

The Laurels School is an independent Catholic girls’ school.

Headteacher Linda Sanders said: "It was a wonderful, inspiring event. What was great was that Tamara Rojo showed our pupils that real success is only achieved through a lot of hard work, perseverance and sacrifice and that, although she has soared the heights of fame, she still has her feet firmly on the ground."
