The MP for Tooting has announced the nine-year-old winner of his annual Christmas card competition.
Sadiq Khan’s prize went to Dylan Braganza Fitzpatrick, from Ravenstone Primary School in Balham.
Children from Balham to Wandsworth Common submitted entries judged by four community representatives; Reverend Steve Rouse, Chief Superintendant Richard Smith, Gill Perkins from charity Wandsworth Oasis and Furzedown Councillor Leonie Cooper.
Dylan’s design will appear on the front of Mr Khan’s Christmas card this year, which will be sent to 6,000 people. The schoolboy was presented with a framed certificate, a small gift and an invite to tour the Houses of Parliament with his family.
Dylan said: “In assembly when Sadiq Khan announced the winner of his Christmas Card competition 2014 I was astonished when he called out my name. Everyone was cheering and clapping, then Sadiq Khan shook my hand, it was amazing.”
