A block of flats in Ingrave Street, Battersea, was the scene of another fire this afternoon as two people were rescued by ladder.
The London Fire Brigade was called to Scholey House just after 12.30pm to a fire in a second floor flat.
A spokesmen said 20 per cent of the flat had been damaged by fire and two people were rescued via a ladder at the back of a building.
Three fire engines attended the incident and the London Ambulance Service. The fire was quickly brought under control by 1.15pm.
In September last year, 22 people were rescued in the road during a tower block blaze. The area has also been the scene of numerous other fires in the past year.
A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 12:36pm to reports of a fire on Ingrave Street, SW11.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew and a duty officer.
“We treated one patient and they were taken to St George's hospital.”
