Glass ceiling: The girls were urged "don't wait to be asked"

More than 150 girls from state and private schools got together on Friday, February 6, at Putney High School, for WiLpower - a conference aimed at empowering young women to aim for leadership.

Putney MP Justine Greening and Helen Fraser, CEO of the Girls’ Day School Trust, were among the speakers at the event, a joint collaboration between Putney High School and Saint John Bosco College.

The conference was organised by a group of Year 10 students from the two schools and was attended by pupils from other schools in the borough.
