An 18-year-old woman was talked out of jumping onto the tracks at Clapham Junction this morning in full view of hundreds of commuters.
Trains were running at reduced speed and some passengers thrown off their trains as a result of the incident.
British Transport Police said in a statement: "
“We were called to Clapham Junction station, shortly after 9am after a report of a woman threatening to harm herself.
“Officers and rail staff spoke with an 18-year-old woman on platform nine. She was seen by staff from the London Ambulance Service, who took her to hospital for assessment."
