The event was in memory of Margot Martini

The current total raised from a cake sale and Easter egg raffle stands at £2,074 in aid of Delete Blood Cancer UK.

The event was organised by family friend Yasmin Amer as part of a campaign to raise the number of people registered as potential bone marrow and stem cell donors.

The youngster’s parents, Yaser and Victoria Martini, from Roehampton, were on hand to help out at the event on Sunday, March 8 at Donhead Preparatory School in Wimbledon.

A statement from the Martini family said: "We were honoured by Yasmin Amer, another wonderful volunteer who stepped up to organise this latest donor registration event, the fourth since Margot died.

"Yasmin organised a wonderful day with a superb sense of community spirit. Many turned out to register as potential stem cell donors and we feel so grateful to all the  volunteers who helped make the day such a success.

"We wish to thank everyone who, over the last year has registered as a potential stem cell donor and ask them to encourage just one more to do the same."
