Police cars and vans swooped on St George’s Hospital A&E today after a man caused a disturbance.
The convoy had their blue lights on and sirens blaring as they pulled into the Tooting-based hospital.
Kevin Whincup, 36, was coming out of the hospital following treatment and saw the vehicles pulling in.
He said: “We heard all these sirens and looked up and there was 12 vehicles in a line all going in. Three were vans and the rest were cars.
"They all went in the main entrance up towards A&E.”
A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police Service said they were called at 11.17am to a man causing a disturbance in the hospital.
They did not elaborate further.
