With some of the most expensive homes in places like Elmbridge, Wandsworth and Kingston it’s no surprise some of your near neighbours have made the Sunday Times Rich List 2015.

Some of the businesses that have helped these millionaires amass their wealth started or are run from relatively humble surroundings in south London and Surrey too.

Here is our run-down of the local links of our richest people.

Suddenly hard-up?

Some famous previous members of the rich list have dropped away in recent years as the criteria for getting in has increased. You now have to be richer than ever to make it into the top 100.

Gone: Croydon-born Kate Moss

One of the regular members of the rich list Nasir Khan, of Chessington firm The Accessory People was once estimated to have a personal fortune of £134.5m with a Lambourgini, Rolls Royce, Bentley and Mercedes and a villa in Marbella.
