A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after an HMP Wandsworth prisoner was found dead in a cell.
The man, another prisoner aged in his 40s, was arrested today. Police were called to the prison shortly after 7.30am to reports of a prisoner found dead.
The family of the prisoner, aged in his 60s, has been informed of his death and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The murder investigation is being led by detective chief inspector Rebecca Reeves, of the Homicide and Major Crime Command.
