A nursery school in Balham celebrating its 80th anniversary is tracing pupils who attended the school when it opened in 1935.
Balham Nursery School and Children’s Centre, in Endlesham Road, is the oldest of the three state nursery schools in Wandsworth and was officially opened in May 1935 by Lady Astor.
The school is marking the occasion with a number of events this year, including a summer fair on June 20.
If you know anyone who was a pupil at the school in 1935 or has memories or photos of it in the 1930s email Fiona on fcoombe19@ntlworld.com.
