A third man has been charged with the murder of a pensioner in Tooting.
Stuart Palmer, 28, of Hounslow, will appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow alongside two other men charged with 75-year-old Peter Lee's murder.
He is also charged with aggravated burglary with intent.
Yesterday: Pair in court over murder charge
Jason Lewin, 33, of Glenthorpe Road, Morden, and Jonathan Palmer, 30, of Green Wrythe Lane, Carshalton, are both also charged with Mr Lee’s murder, aggravated burglary with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
The pair first appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 3 and were remanded in custody until their next court appearance tomorrow, June 5.
Mr Lee died in the early hours of Tuesday morning and a postmortem examination gave a cause of death as a severe head injury.
A Metropolitan Police Service spokesman said his injuries were consistent with being hit by a vehicle.
Police were called to Welham Road, shortly before 5pm on Monday, June 1, after reports of a burglary.
Two other men in their 30s were also taken to hospital with minor stab wounds before being discharged.
