Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was robbed and assaulted in Spencer Park.

The robbery happened in November 2014 and the girl was then assaulted by the same man in December.

On Thursday, November 13, between 4.10pm and 4.25pm a 15-year-old girl was walking home from school along a footpath between Windmill Road and Trinity Road.

A man jumped out of the bushes in front of her and threatened her with a knife while demanding her mobile phone. He was disturbed by a person walking along the footpath and ran back into the bushes.

On Monday, December 1, at about 5pm, the same girl was walking along Spencer Park to a bus stop. She was grabbed from behind and a gloved hand was held over her mouth.

She bit his finger and he pushed her to the ground, hitting her across the face a few times and banging her head on the ground. Her clothing was cut from where a knife was used.

The girl was taken to a central London hospital and later discharged.

The man is a 16 to 19 years old, black and was wearing a black rain jacket, black hooded top and blue denim jeans. He wore a silver chain around his waist, smelt of cigarettes and spoke with a London accent.
