Cartwheeling 5km for charity was all in a day's work for one 11-year-old.

Millie Patience's father, Neil, was cared for by Princess Alice Hospice last summer.

To raise money for the hospice, she completed the route around Richmond Park in just over an hour with a team of family and friends cheering her on.

Mother Tara said: "Millie realised that by doing something different, rather than simply walking or running, people would be more generous in their sponsorship. She doesn't really prepare but she does a lot of dancing, swimming and gym so she is very active.

"Neil spent three weeks at Princess Alice Hospice where he received the most remarkable care from the most dedicated and caring Princess Alice staff.

"They took care of all three of us and allowed us time to be a family, with the support and respect that was precious to us all.

Mia Patterson from the fundraising team said the hospice had been blown away by the achievement and thanked Millie for her efforts.
