An attempted rapist tried to force a woman to perform a sex act on him after two men got into her flat through an open balcony door, the Metropolitan Police have said.

Police have released an e-fit on one of the men they want to question.

The woman, a 21-year-old, was at her Roehampton home when two men entered her home through the open balcony door.

One of the men was said to have tried to force her to "perform a sex act" but she managed to fight him off.

The first suspect, is described as black, about 6ft 4in, aged between 28 and 30, with very short hair. He was clean shaven, wore sky-blue jeans with a black belt and jacket. He spoke with an English accent and had a Chinese symbol on his right hip.

The second man is described as white with blonde hair.

Detective Constable Alison Downing, from the sexual offences exploitation and child abuse command, said: "We are appealing for any witnesses who saw two males, one white and one black acting suspiciously in the Roehampton and Putney Heath ward on Wednesday, June 17, between 11am and 5pm.

"If anyone knows the identity of the suspects or who has any information then please contact police."
