Artists, craftspeople and designers across the borough are gearing up to give the public a peek into their homes and studios.

The preview is part of Wandsworth Artists' Open House weekend, which aims to give people the opportunity to appreciate art within informal settings that allow direct engagement with the artists themselves.

This year’s programme will include a large variety of artistic practices, ranging from crafts and painting to printing and photography.

The annual event is designed to offer a fun and affordable chance for both professional and amateur artists to set up exhibitions and showcase their work.

Councillor Jonathon Cook, cabinet member for community services, said: "Artists Open House offers a fascinating behind the scenes tour of Wandsworth’s creative industries."

The event is due to take place between October 3 and 4 and October 10 and 11 across 100 venues around the borough.
