A teenage boy will appear in court today charged with stabbing another boy at Southfields Academy.

Police were called to the school, in Merton Road, at 3.10pm on Tuesday after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the leg.

He was attacked in the school lobby but his injuries were not thought to be serious, police said.

A 16-year-old boy is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court today accused of causing grievous bodily harm.

Three other boys, aged 16, 15 and 14, have been bailed until later this month.
