The man wanted for threatening passengers on the Northern line at Tooting Broadway station remains at large, the Metropolitian Police has said.
Armed police were called to Tooting Broadway at lunchtime today after reports that a man was making threats and holding scissors.
Further reports indicated that the station was closed, though Transport for London denied this was the case.

A spokesman from British Transport Police said: "Earlier this afternoon – at about 12.50pm – we were called following reports of a man threatening passengers on a Northern line Tube train.
"Our officers assisted colleagues from the Metropolitan Police Service in carrying out a search of Tooting Broadway station.
"Checks were also carried out at other stations on the Northern line, but the man was not located."
Anyone with information about the man is urged to call 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016 quoting reference 257 of November 18.
