A teenager from Nottinghamshire has denied wounding another teenager with a carving knife smaller than 3 inches long after a terrifying attack in Southfields Academy.
Desperate teachers tried to hold shut doors to stop a group of people from getting into the academy, in Merton Road toward the end of the school day on November 10.
A 15-year-old suffered a stab wound to the leg at about 3.10pm.
The 16-year-old from Newark appeared in Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on November 18 and denied both charges.
He was denied bail, remanded into youth detention accomodation, and will next appear at Kingston Crown Court on December 1.
If found guilty, he faces more than 14 years in prison for the offences.
Three other boys have been released on police bail.
