A Chelsea restaurateur will be sentenced after admitting waving a fake gun around his King's Road diner.

September 29: Chelsea restaurant owner charged with firearms offence on King's Road

Richard Gladwin, 31, from Albert Bridge Road, pleaded guilty on December 22 with possession of an imitation firearm and affray after an incident on August 28.

He was arrested alongside manager Frederick Samengo-Turner, from Oxford.

Gladwin was said to have terrified pedestrians walking past Rabbit, his 'wild food' restaurant in Chelsea, when he brandished the gun.

They appeared at Isleworth Crown Court on December 22 where they admitted the offences.

Gladwin told the Evening Standard that he regrets his actions, and the event was the "biggest mistake of his life".

The pair was given unconditional bail and will next appear at the same court on January 28 where they will be sentenced.
