A coffee shop will face trial after a woman had surgery to remove a piece of wire from her throat when she ate a panino from the shop.
Caffe Nero is charged with four counts of contravening or failing to comply with hygiene regulations in the Putney High Street branch.
Caffe Nero is accused of selling food that was unsafe, as a piece of wire was stuck in a panino, on August 1, 2014.
The piece of wire was later surgically removed from Katherine Willans' throat.
Caffe Nero deny all charges and will face trial at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on March 22.
