A landslip near Watford Junction will cause delays to Southern rail services through Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Common until Friday.

Network Rail Engineers are on site at Leighton Buzzard and hope to complete the repairs by 6am, Friday to reduce any further travel disruption.

Most Southern train services are operating normally between Croydon and Watford Junction however trains serving Clapham Junction, Wandsworth Common, West Brompton and Wembley Central may be affected.

The rail network is currently suspending services between Milton Keynes Central and Watford Junction and the 22:11 Milton Keynes to East Croydon service has been cancelled.

Virgin Trains and London Midland services are experiencing delays of up to 15 minutes to London Euston as Virgin cancelled six trains this morning.

Alternative travel amendments are in place with Southern rail passengers being advised to use the London Midland services between Milton Keynes Central and London Euston.

If they wish to continue to travel southwards tickets are also valid on the London Euston underground between Euston and London Victoria.

London Midland tickets are being accepted on any reasonable route on the London Overground and Underground.

A 30 minute delay through Norwood Junction is causing disruptions to Southern services and is expected until 1pm.

Thameslink services between London Bridge and Brighton are currently starting and terminating at Gatwick airport due to the routine safety works.
