A cyclist "had his teeth knocked out" in a crash with a Waitrose van outside Wandsworth Fire Station at about 8pm last night.
The bike was badly damaged and fire fighters from the station, in Wandsworth High Street, came out to help the cyclist, who was wearing a helmet.
A spokesman from the fire station said the cyclist was about 20 and "sustained some face trauma and had some of his teeth knocked out."
He added: "We did all the immediate care - stabilised him, gave him oxygen and reassured him he would be okay, as he was quite scared.
"We kept him in as a precation and put a collar on him. The paramedics showed up and agreed with our assessment."
